Has it really been this long since I've written in here?
So the sixth season is 5 weeks old, and people are already complaining about the format. For those who don't know yet, the game structure has changed yet again, reverting to the classic format of best 2 of 3. Each game is worth $1,000 and the first contestant to win two games plays the bonus round that began in season 5. So in other words, a match could stop right in the middle of a game when the show ends.
So what's with all the complaining?
Anyway, people at the H2 message boards on the official site are peeved with the changes for this season, asking the producers to revert to the original format or they'll stop watching the show altogether. What do they mean by "original format"? These are the same people that complained about last year's bonus round! I say give the producers a break, they're only trying their best to make the show great. And, people should watch for the stars and bluffs as well as the great moments, not to find points to rip the show apart.
I, for one, like the new format this year. When a match is stopped in the middle of a game, it makes for a great cliffhanger for the next day's show, making me wonder what will happen to the contestants next.
Chill out, pessimists! You don't know what you're missing!
